Jubilee Gin 2

I don’t know about you, but I don’t know many people who drink straight gin. I mean, I used to, but that was a long time ago when I was a student.

Gin just seems to work better when mixed. One of my favourite cocktails is also one of the oldest, The Tom Collins. If you want to fix one all you need is gin, sugar, lemon juice and soda; it’s wonderfully refreshing.

Today’s Gin recipe is featured in the video, it appears after I’ve spoken about vodka for approximately one minute and forty seconds.

Even though it was edited out, I did actually shake the drink. I’ve given the method below:

Half fill glass (or jam jar) with ice and add:

35ml Gin

Flesh of a passion fruit

1 or 2 Fresh lychee, peeled and pitted

75ml fresh lychee juice

Handful of mint

Shake and pour straight into a tall glass or, if using a jam jar, just add a straw!
